Boneless Milkfish
The milkfish , In Japanese : サバヒー (Sabahi), In Chinese : 遮目鱼,虱目鱼 (Zhe Mu Yu, Shi Mu Yu),(Chanos chanos), is an important food fish in Southeast Asia.
is the sole living species in the family Chanidae (It has been reported that there were approximately 7 in five additional genus). Milkfish have a generally symmetrical and streamlined silhouette with a v-shaped caudal fin. They can grow to 1.7 m, , Milkfish generally reaches 1 metre in length.
They have no teeth, and generally feed on algae and invertebrates.
They occur in the Indian Ocean and across the Pacific Ocean, tending to school around coasts and islands with reefs. Young larvae live at sea for approximately 2-3 weeks, then migrate to Estuaries, mangrove swamps occasionally, lakes . They return to the sea when they were sexually mature to breed. The larvae are collected from rivers and raised in ponds, where they can be fed almost anything and grow very quickly, then are sold either fresh, frozen, canned, or smoked.
Because milkfish is notorious for being much more bony compared to other food fish in the country,
deboned milkfish or "boneless bangus" has become popular, so we decided to produce deboned or boneless frozen milkfish.
This boneless milkfish can be easily cooked by baking, frying, steaming or else, and need less time in cooking. As the milkfish is cultivated in seawater in our aquaculture farm we can guarantee its freshness with no muddy smell at all (which usually happens to milkfish that raised in other than seawater environment)
Daily, we can produce up to 3 tons of fresh milkfish. As for boneless milkfish, we can produce up to 1 ton a day
